I have a Cetus 3D MkII with a Tinyfab motherboard and Tinyfab CPU. I've modded this setup to add a BLTouch sensor for bed levelling, and I'm using the built-in MOSFET to power the Cetus heatbed.
I haven't used the printer in a while (about 6 months) and fired it up today to print. I'm using Simplify3D to drive the machine directly, and the jog and hotend temperature controls are all working fine. I can home all axes, perform a bedlevelling, everything works... until I try to print. From the outset the printer seems to freeze and become unresponsive for a few seconds, before coming back to life again. Occasionally during these freezes it will drop and retract the BLTouch pin. Gradually, as the print progresses over the next minuite or two the freezes get longer (with BLTouch deploys) until the machine locks up altogether.
I'm completely baffled about this and have no idea where to start with fault finding, especially as everything seems to be working fine otherwise. Does anyone have any ideas what could be wrong or how I can diagnose this problem?
